The Estate
Domäne Wachau is one of the most renowned estates in Austria with a wide variety of Wachau wines that beautifully reflect their origin. With Roman Horvath MW and Heinz Frischengruber at the helm, the focus is on an elegant and straight style that combines depth with drinkability. The small, steeply terraced plots in world-famous vineyards such as the Achleiten, Kellerberg and Singerriedel are increasingly cultivated organically by our vintner families, the true heroes of the winery, with intense manual labor. Sustainable farming practices and the promotion of unique biodiversity form the elementary pillars. Moreover, Domäne Wachau is known for its diverse wine tourism activities and is always well worth a visit.
Our Wines
We ensure that our wines reflect their authentic character of origin. Their distinction comes from the sparse gneiss soils of the vineyards and the typical cool & fresh Wachau acidity structure. Indeed, the uniqueness of Wachau terroirs is expressed precisely and clearly. Ultimately, our wines captivate – and convince – with their pure elegance, the tension and grip on the palate and their animated drinkability.
