Wachau Panorama
Vineyard Kaiserberg

The name “Kaiserberg” dates back to the times of Emperor Charlemagne who defeated and banished the Avares from the Wachau around 800 AD. Legend has it that Charlemagne had a camp right were the Kaiserberg vineyard is located today. Kaiserberg is situated in the western part of Dürnstein. South of Kaiserberg, directly at the river Danube, the “Frauenweingärten” are to be found. Wines from Kaiserberg impress through their great overall balance and their classical mineral style.
