Sensation! Highest Wachau Scores in the Gault&Millau Guide
Highest Rating in the Wachau Region | Top 10 of Best Rated Producers in Austria | New: 5-Star Producer (Top Grading) | Blind Tasted by Austria’s Best Sommeliers
The new Gault&Millau Wine Guide 2026 has been published – and it brings outstanding results. With two wines scoring 97 points and another scoring 96 points, we have achieved the highest rating, on par with Grabenwerkstatt and ahead of all other renowned Wachau wineries.
Another special distinction is the awarding of the 5th grape. This highest rating of the guide is reserved for only a few wineries – it designates them as world-class estates. The wines were blind-tasted and evaluated by leading sommeliers and wine experts – one of the most renowned and independent juries in Austria.
Our top ratings at a glance:
• 97 points: Riesling Smaragd Ried Achleiten 2024
• 97 points: Riesling Smaragd Ried Kellerberg 2024
• 96 points: Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Ried Kellerberg 2024
In addition, the Gault&Millau jury evaluated wines in varietal rankings and in the “Best of Lower Austria” list. Our 2024 Rieslings from Achleiten and Kellerberg rank among the 15 best wines of Lower Austria and, along with our Grüner Veltliner Ried Kellerberg, are featured in the Top 10 varietal rankings.
Our single-vineyard Smaragd wines 2024 will be released in March 2026.
