Vintage of the century – 2019 single-vineyard Smaragd wines released!

After high expectations, our 2019 single-vineyard Smaragd wines have been bottled and are now available to purchase.

From what is considered to be the vintage of the century, these Smaragd gems were vinified after an ideal year with optimum weather conditions: sufficient spring rain, plenty of sunshine just when needed, no extreme temperature peaks and a fresh golden autumn.

“All these factors add up to create wines with immense inner tension, combining depth and elegance with an impressive range of aromas and flavours,” our winemaker Heinz Frischengruber explains. “Whether Grüner Veltliner or Riesling, both grape varieties show in the 2019 vintage their absolute best.”
